Chelbesa – Ethiopia

Our latest coffee is the Chelbesa, from Ethiopia, hailing from one of the finest coffee producing areas with Gedeb Woreda. Known for dense layered semi-forest vegetation structure, Chelbesa is a great example of the best coffee growing agroecology. This lot is put together with coffee from 476 smallholder farmers delivering their cherries to SNAP Specialty Coffee’s new wet mill in Chelbesa village. The new fermentation tanks are built in ceramic, which brings clarity to the coffee, as well as hastening the fermentation process by conserving heat.

It smells like a cup of chamomile and honey, and we’re saying Sicilian blood orange, gooseberry, and bergamot for tasting notes. This is a delicate Ethiopian coffee that we can’t get enough of.
