Roasters note:
A timeless classic. Iconic Brazillian coffee, just as we all remember it. Mió, situated in Monte Santo de Minas, Brazil, is not just a coffee farm but a comprehensive enterprise involved in the export, import, storage, and sale of meticulously harvested coffee by Mió workers. Encompassing a vast expanse of 1,589 hectares, Mió's farm allocation is thoughtfully organized. Approximately one-third of the land is dedicated to coffee processing and milling facilities, pasture areas, and the cultivation of eucalyptus trees, providing a habitat for delightful bees. The remaining land is equally divided between coffee trees and a native forest reserve. Abundant spring water on the estate underscores Mió's commitment not only to maintain water flow but also to enhance water quality. The decision to allocate an equal share of land to both coffee cultivation and the preservation of the native forest is a strategic choice that contributes to safeguarding the natural characteristics of the region. Positioned between Southern Minas Gerais and the High Mogiana region, Mió benefits from two distinct terrains. One imparts a citric acidity, while the other contributes to a full-bodied and sweet profile, creating a unique and harmonious blend in Mió's coffee offerings. This conscientious approach to land use underscores Mió's dedication to both quality coffee production and environmental stewardship.
