Finca La Esperanza is located in a remote Andean valley, and is relatively small, at just 4.5 hectares. Transportation of coffee from these remote areas is notoriously tricky, but the results are definitely worth it.
This naturally processed lot is creamy and delicate, with more ‘yellow fruit’ flavours than Colombia’s typical ‘red fruit’ notes (think mango, papaya etc).
We have worked alongside John and Claudia from ‘The Green Collection’ to source this coffee. Their dedication to go the extra mile and provide a quality development program means that the farmers they work with get a real share of the action. We’re lucky to be able to source this coffee so directly, and enjoy how fresh the crop is (from March 2020’s harvest).
